What's in the box: A curated assortment of freshly roasted coffees from different US roasters, matched to the roast lane you chose.
Angels' Cup is a US coffee subscription built around variety and discovery rather than one house roast. It doesn't roast its own beans. Instead, it samples coffees from roasters across the country and ships subscribers a curated selection. The company says it worked with over 200 roasters and shipped more than 500 unique coffees last year, so you should rarely see the same coffee twice. Signup starts with a short quiz where you choose a roast direction. The light and medium track rotates weekly and moves between bright light roasts and more balanced medium roasts. The dark track comes as tasting flights that cover a range of darker profiles with no noticeable acidity, and it rotates every four weeks. A companion app gives details on each coffee and lets you compare your tasting notes with the roaster's, which suits people who want to train their palate. The company puts a lot of weight on freshness. It says inbound shipments arrive once a week and coffee goes back out within days, never sitting as inventory. The main tradeoff is control. You pick a roast lane, not specific coffees, so some surprises may not suit you. Dark roast fans also get new coffees less often. Gift subscriptions are available.
