Anime Bento is closed and no longer taking orders, and its website no longer loads. When it was running, it was a monthly subscription box for fans of anime and Japanese pop culture, aimed mainly at shoppers in the United States. Each month's box followed a theme and mixed anime merchandise such as figures, plush toys, apparel and smaller collectibles. The appeal was a surprise assortment tied to popular series. That changed around 2017 and 2018, when subscribers widely reported paying for boxes that never arrived and having trouble getting answers. The service then shut down. If you once had an account with Anime Bento, check your card or PayPal statements for any recurring charges and contact your bank if anything looks wrong. You cannot subscribe today. Given how the service ended, be careful if the name ever reappears without a clear explanation of who runs it and how past problems were resolved. If you want a monthly anime box, look for services that are operating now, have a visible record of on-time delivery and make cancelling easy. Buying individual licensed merchandise from established retailers is another reliable option.
