What's in the box: The site doesn't spell out what each mailing contains, but given the club's name and the shop's focus, expect mailed pieces featuring Nikki Ackerman's original watercolor illustrations.
artxnikki is the small studio of Nikki Ackerman, a watercolor artist who earned a Studio Art degree from Florida State University in 2019. She started the brand on Instagram in 2020 and opened a shop in Tallahassee in 2022. She now runs it full time with her husband, Brock. Most of the site sells fine art prints, coasters, buttons and licensed Florida State Seminole gear. The prints are made in house on textured cold press watercolor paper and each one is signed by the artist. That says good things about how carefully the studio makes physical products. The Snail Mail Club appears on the homepage as a "join the club" link, but the main shop pages don't explain much about it. The site doesn't make clear how often mail ships, what each mailing contains or how billing works. Check the club page closely before you subscribe. The art itself is cheerful and feminine, with subjects like closets, dresses, powder rooms, cherries and florals. If that look appeals to you, a mail club from this artist will probably feel personal and handmade rather than mass produced. If you want clear terms up front, the lack of detail is a real drawback.
