Babylist Hello Baby Box

What's in the box: The box has an assortment of baby and parent goodies, typically product samples from partner brands, and the exact contents change over time.

The Hello Baby Box is a free perk from Babylist, a universal baby registry. It is not a subscription you sign up for and pay into. You create a Babylist registry, and that makes you eligible for a free box of goodies for you and your baby. The site notes that some restrictions apply, but its main page does not spell them out, so read the eligibility terms before you count on getting one. The registry is what you are really signing up for, and it is a solid one. You can add items from many different retailers, including Amazon and Target, along with cash funds and favor requests, all on one list. It also lets you compare prices for the same product across stores. Babylist publishes a large library of buying guides, offers a completion discount, and can help you order a breast pump through your insurance. The trade-off is that the box is a marketing tool, so expect samples and brand promotions, not a curated set of full-size products. You also have to share your details and keep an active registry. If you were planning to build a baby registry anyway, the box is a pleasant extra that costs nothing.
