What's in the box: When it ran, a box held a selection of craft beers, mostly from independent breweries, with tasting notes for each one.
BeerBods has closed. It stopped taking payments and shipping boxes in October 2022, so you can no longer subscribe. It was a UK service and one of the better known craft beer clubs of its time. Subscribers got regular deliveries of craft beers, mostly from independent breweries, along with notes on each beer. What set it apart was the shared tasting. Members were encouraged to open the same beer at the same time each week and read the write up together online, so it felt more like a social club than just a parcel of bottles. It suited people who wanted to try new styles and learn a little about brewing without searching bottle shops themselves. In July 2019 BeerBods was bought by Beer Hawk, the online beer retailer owned by AB InBev. The service kept going for about three more years under that ownership before it closed. The beerbods.co.uk website does not offer a working sign up today. If the idea appeals, look for a craft beer subscription that is still trading, and check who owns it, what it sends and how cancelling works before you commit. Treat any old links, gift codes or offers that mention BeerBods as no longer valid.
