When it was running, BetternessBox was a US subscription service built around products from Black-owned businesses. It focused on wellness and everyday self-care. The idea behind it was to help subscribers feel better while sending their spending to Black entrepreneurs. Co-founder Kala Garner talked about the business on a podcast in 2024, which is the most recent public mention of the company. The site does not say when shipping stopped, what plans were offered, or how existing subscribers were handled. If you were a past subscriber with an open order or billing question, check your card statements and any old emails from the company, because the website no longer offers customer support. If you liked the idea, many Black-owned brands sell directly online, and other curated boxes in this category are still active.
