Bloomy Days

What's in the box: A seasonal bouquet arranged by the company's florists, sent by post in plastic-free packaging with a free greeting card.

Bloomy Days is a German online florist that sends boxed bouquets by post and offers a recurring flower subscription, the Blumenabo. The brand filed for insolvency after a planned funding round fell through. Fleurop, the long-established flower delivery network, then took it over, and it now trades as Bloomy Days powered by Fleurop. The website is live and selling. The subscription promises fresh flowers every week, with arrangements chosen by the company's florists and changed regularly so you get new combinations over time. Bloomy Days says it draws on more than 100,000 flower varieties, but that is a marketing figure and not something you will notice in practice. Every delivery comes with a 7-day freshness guarantee and a free greeting card, and ships in plastic-free packaging. The plan is described as flexible, but the homepage does not explain the delivery frequency options or the pause rules, so check those before you sign up. Besides the subscription there is a large one-off shop with seasonal, occasion and express bouquets, mostly priced between about 15 and 30 euros at the time of writing. The ownership change adds some uncertainty, but Fleurop's backing should make the brand more stable than it was as a startup. It suits anyone in Germany who wants regular, low-effort flowers at home.
