Box Petiko

What's in the box: A themed monthly selection of dog treats and toys developed with input from nutrition and play specialists.

Box Petiko is a Brazilian monthly subscription club for dogs, with a separate version for cats, run by the pet products company Petiko. Each month follows a different theme, and the company says its products are developed by specialists in animal nutrition and play, so expect a mix of treats and toys built around that month's idea. Petiko also runs its own shop with licensed product lines, including Justice League, Harry Potter and Powerpuff Girls, which gives a sense of the playful, themed style the brand leans toward. Subscribers get a discount and free shipping on purchases made through the shop in the Petiko app, a handy perk if you already buy everyday supplies there, such as the hygienic pads the company also sells by subscription. Customer service is available by email on weekdays during business hours. The main site does not spell out item counts, box contents in detail or sizing options for different dogs, so check the subscription page before signing up if your dog is very small, very large or has dietary restrictions. The service is aimed at Brazil and the site is in Portuguese. Overall it looks like an established, legitimate operation with a clear themed approach, best suited to owners who enjoy monthly surprises and like having treats, toys and supplies in one place.
