Brightland is a California olive oil brand, not a classic curated box. Its subscription is a Subscribe & Save option on individual products. You pick an item, such as the Alive or Awake extra virgin olive oil, a flavored oil or a vinegar, and set it to repeat at a lower price than a one-time order. For example, Alive EVOO is $38 as a one-time purchase and $33.44 on subscription. The range includes everyday and finishing extra virgin olive oils, garlic, lemon, basil and chili infused oils, fruit-infused balsamic and champagne vinegars, raw honey and kitchen accessories. Some sets, like the Classic Oil & Vinegar Duo, can also be put on subscription. The olive oils are labeled with their harvest date, which helps because olive oil is best used fresh. Much of the brand's appeal is its packaging, and it puts a lot of focus on gift sets and corporate orders. The downside is price. A single bottle costs far more than supermarket oil, and US shipping is only free on orders of $90 or more, so a small repeat order may not qualify. The site does not clearly explain delivery frequency or how to pause or cancel. If you cook with good olive oil often and want a premium bottle on the counter, it is an easy way to restock. Cooks on a budget will get better value elsewhere.
