What's in the box: A personalised selection of teas chosen from your quiz answers, drawn from flavoured blends, chais, herbal infusions and some classic black, white and oolong teas, sent in a letterbox-friendly box.
BRUU is a UK tea club built around a short taste quiz. You answer a few questions about your preferences, the company picks teas to match, and it says it refines its selections over time based on what you like. Deliveries come in a letterbox-friendly box, so you should not need to be home to receive them, and the site says subscription deliveries are free. The site lists monthly and bi-monthly plans, and you decide when your teas arrive.
The range leans heavily on flavoured blends with playful names such as Cheeky Digestive, Crème Brûlée, Lemon Waffle and Gingerbread Man, alongside chais, rooibos, camomile and fruit infusions. There are also more traditional options, including Assam, a breakfast blend, Bai Mudan white tea, Ti Kuan Yin oolong and Brazilian yerba mate, so it is not purely a dessert tea service. Teaware such as infusers, glass mugs and teapots is sold separately.
The site was showing prices in US dollars when we checked, despite being a UK business, so check the currency setting before ordering. The most recent blog posts we saw dated from early 2024, which says little about the tea but suggests the content is not updated often. Overall, it is a friendly, convenient option for people who enjoy experimenting with flavoured teas.
