Bug Madness

What's in the box: Live feeder insects you choose yourself, such as dubia roaches in a chosen size and count or 32oz flightless fruit fly cultures, sent on a repeating schedule.

Bug Madness is a family owned feeder insect supplier, not a curated box. Its subscription works as a repeat delivery of live feeders. You pick a product, such as dubia roaches or flightless fruit fly cultures, and set it to recur. The range is small and focused. Dubia roaches come in small, medium and large sizes in counts from 25 up to 1000. There are also adult males and retired breeder adults sold by the pound. Fruit flies come as 32oz cultures of D. hydei or D. melanogaster. Each is sold freshly started or already producing, and there are two packs that include both. That choice is useful because producing cultures can be fed right away, while fresh ones are meant to last longer. The subscribe and save discount is small, up to 5%, so you would subscribe for convenience more than savings. Larger buyers can use the wholesale section. On the downside, the site warns that ground shipping has no guarantee, which matters when you are buying live insects, so read the shipping policy before you pick a method. The main page does not explain how to skip or change deliveries. The footer copyright still says 2020, which suggests the site is not updated often. If you keep insect eaters and want a steady supply of roaches or fruit flies, it is a simple, practical option.
