Cache Crate

What's in the box: When it operated, a box held a mix of small hiking and backpacking gear along with trail food and snacks.

Cache Crate is no longer operating, and its website at cacheadvance.com does not load, so you cannot order a box or manage an account there. When it ran, it was a subscription box for hikers and backpackers in the US. The idea was simple: each delivery brought a mix of outdoor items so subscribers could try new gear and trail food without hunting for it themselves. Boxes like this suited people who liked surprises and were happy to let someone else pick small items for their pack. Because the service has shut down, we cannot confirm its last plans, prices, box contents or support terms, and we will not guess at them. If you paid for a subscription and are owed a refund or a final shipment, contact your card issuer or payment provider, because the company's own site is unreachable. If you want a similar experience today, look for an outdoor or hiking box that is clearly active, has a working website with current terms, and shows recent customer feedback. You can also build your own kit by buying trail snacks and small accessories from outdoor retailers, which gives you more control over what you get and how much you spend.
