What's in the box: When the club ran, each shipment held the DVDs the member had picked from its catalog.
Columbia House is no longer operating. The company stopped taking orders after September 15, 2026, ending a run that began in 1955. The website may still load and show a join button, but you should not treat it as an active service. For decades Columbia House was best known as a mail order music club that shipped records, tapes and later CDs to members who agreed to buy a set number of titles. A 2015 plan to bring it back as a vinyl record club never happened, so if you want a vinyl subscription, you will not find one here. In its final form it was a DVD club run under license by Edge Line Ventures LLC. Members picked DVDs from sections such as New Releases, Upcoming Releases, Editor's Picks, Crime Binges and Clearance. Select titles cost $11.95 each, and orders of three or more DVDs shipped free. The site linked to its terms of membership, but its front page did not explain what those terms required. If you want physical media by mail today, look for a club or retailer that is still taking orders. Columbia House is now a piece of music and home video history, not a current option.
