What's in the box: A themed mix of horror reading material and spooky collectibles and novelties.

Creepy Crate is no longer operating. The horror subscription box ended in 2024 after about seven years, and its website no longer loads. It was run by The Lineup, a US site that covers horror, true crime and the strange, and it brought that site's taste to a box of spooky goods sent by mail. Each crate had a theme and mixed reading material with horror-themed collectibles and novelties. That made it a good fit for fans who wanted more than plain merchandise. The last shipment was the April/May 2024 crate. When the box ended, leftover items moved to The Lineup's Creepy Shop. Some pieces from past crates may still turn up there for anyone who wants to buy single items instead of subscribing. Because the service has closed, you can no longer join, skip a month or manage a subscription. Treat any old sign-up links or third-party listings as out of date. If you like the idea, look for other horror boxes that are still running. For people who got crates while it ran, the items are keepsakes from a box that lasted longer than many niche subscriptions. It is not an option for new orders today.
