Curious Octopus is a UK craft subscription that sends a different creative project each month. It is not a coloring book or a single-medium art box. Past boxes have covered batik painting, sand art collage, air dry clay lanterns, geometric string art, watercolour, tie dye, polymer clay earrings and cross stitch, so you get real variety. Each box is meant to include everything you need. Boxes go out at the start of the month, usually about a week before a live online workshop where you make the project together step by step. If you miss the session, you can watch the replay on YouTube. A box costs £29.99 on a monthly subscription or as a one-off purchase. The annual plan is £299.90 for 12 boxes, and UK postage is free. You can cancel anytime. There is also a gift option, plus in-person craft nights in Portishead for people nearby. The main appeal is structure: a set date to sit down and make something, with help on hand. If you mainly want adult coloring or guided mindfulness pages, the projects here are broader hands-on crafts.
