Disney Movie Club is no longer operating: Disney shut the club down permanently on July 20, 2024, after 23 years, and its old web address now simply forwards to the main Disney Movies website. There is nothing to join, and there is no way to order from the club today. When it ran, the club was a mail order membership for physical media. New members typically picked a few introductory titles on DVD or Blu-ray, then agreed to buy a set number of additional movies at regular club prices over a membership period. Throughout the year the club sent a featured selection, usually a recent Disney, Pixar, Marvel or Star Wars release, which shipped automatically unless the member declined it by the deadline. Members could also browse a catalog of classics and club exclusive editions. Fans valued it for easy access to new releases and the occasional exclusive, but the automatic shipping model drew steady complaints from people who forgot to decline a selection or found canceling awkward. If you want Disney films today, your realistic options are Disney+ for streaming or buying discs from ordinary retailers. The Disney Movies site now at the old address lists current and upcoming films such as Zootopia 2, Avatar: Fire and Ash and Toy Story 5, but it does not offer any membership or club purchases.
