Dispatch by Breakout Games is no longer operating. The monthly mystery subscription appears to have stopped by December 2023. While it ran, Dispatch was a mail-based mystery game from Breakout, the US escape room company, made for people who wanted to solve a case at home instead of in a timed room. Subscribers received a new mystery each month and worked through it by following clues, cracking codes and solving puzzles. Breakout itself is still in business. Its website is now entirely about in-person escape rooms in many states, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Ohio, Texas and Virginia. It offers 60 minute games, team building events and party bookings. The site does not mention Dispatch or any at-home subscription, and there is no way to subscribe. Breakout is a Sounds Fun Entertainment brand. If you were a past subscriber, there is nothing to renew. If you want a monthly mystery game by mail, you will need another service in this category because Dispatch is not available. If you like Breakout's style of puzzles, you can still visit one of its physical locations, but a room you play there is very different from a box you solve at your kitchen table. We do not rate Dispatch because the service is not running.
