Dream Box (Grit Glam Guts)

What's in the box: The site does not say what a Dream Box contains, how often it ships or what it costs.

Grit Glam Guts is a nonprofit for teen girls. It runs teen-led chapters, weekly meetings, conferences and community events in Lansing, Detroit, Flint and Grand Rapids, Michigan. Its stated focus is identity development, self-awareness, leadership and helping girls speak up for themselves. The group says it has served 200 girls so far and aims to reach 800 a year by 2030. Teen-led projects include Black Girl Brilliance Magazine and a Black Girl Art Exhibit. Shoppers should know that the main site does not describe a Dream Box or any subscription box. There is no product page, no list of contents, no pricing and no shipping information. The main options on the site are joining the program, volunteering, attending events, donating and signing up for newsletter or text updates. If a Dream Box is offered, it seems to be part of the nonprofit's programs and not a stand-alone retail product. That makes it hard to recommend to anyone who wants a predictable monthly delivery for a tween or teen. It may suit Michigan families who share the mission and want their daughter involved locally. It may also suit supporters who would buy a box mainly to back the work. Before you commit, email info@gritglamguts.com to confirm what a box includes and how it is delivered.
