What's in the box: When it was running, a box typically paired a gin from a small Australian distillery with mixers and a few extras to go with it.

Gintonica is no longer operating. The Australian craft gin subscription went into voluntary administration in mid 2023 after an attempted sale of the business fell through, and its old web address now redirects to a different site. When it ran, Gintonica was a monthly club built around discovery. Each delivery introduced subscribers to gin from smaller Australian distilleries, many of which make limited batches that rarely reach bottle shops outside their home state. A big part of the appeal was the local angle. Australian distillers use native botanicals such as wattle seed, Tasmanian pepperberry, lemon myrtle and saltbush, and a curated box was an easy way to try that range without researching producers yourself. Mixers and small extras came with the gin, so a box could become a ready made gin and tonic night. Today there is nothing to order. The site the old domain points to publishes general articles about Australian gin and does not appear to be connected to the original company. Do not expect to subscribe, manage an account or reach customer service there. Former subscribers with an outstanding order or credit should take their questions to the administrators handling the company. If you want something similar, look at gin clubs that are still trading and check that they are operating before you pay.
