What's in the box: A box holds pre-portioned fresh ingredients and recipe cards for the meals you pick from that week's menu.
Gousto is a UK-founded recipe box service that also delivers across Ireland. Each week it sends pre-portioned ingredients and step-by-step recipes, so you can cook at home without meal planning or a big shop. The menu is its main strength. Gousto advertises more than 150 recipes a month, grouped into themes such as Everyday Favourites, Family Kitchen, One Pan Wonders, Global Kitchen, Protein Hit and Fibre Fix. It now offers more than 15 ten-minute meals a week, which suits busy weeknights. There are meat-free options alongside chicken, beef, pork and fish. Gousto says its meat is 100% Irish and calls itself Ireland's best value recipe box, but both claims carry footnotes that the front page does not explain, so read the small print. New customers get a stepped introductory offer: 50% off the first box, 40% off the second and 20% off boxes three to eight, plus free delivery on the first box. Full prices apply after that, so check the regular box prices before you sign up. You can skip weeks or cancel at any time, and deliveries now run on Saturdays and Sundays as well. Overall it is a flexible, well-stocked service for people who want variety and speed. Just budget for the full price, not the welcome discount.
