Closed. The domain is parked or for sale; the service is no longer running. The CSA honey shares launched in 2023 and ran again in 2024, and no details for 2025 or later were found.

What's in the box: A share typically held seasonal honey from the nonprofit's community managed urban hives in Vancouver.

Hives for Humanity's Community Supported Apiculture program is no longer running. Its website now shows only a parked domain page, so there is nothing to sign up for. When it ran, the program worked like a farm CSA: members paid for a share up front and got honey from the group's hives during the season. The shares started in 2023 and were offered again in 2024, but there is no sign of a 2025 season or anything since. Hives for Humanity was known as a Vancouver nonprofit that used urban beekeeping to build community and to offer mentorship and meaningful work to people in the city's Downtown Eastside. Buying a share was as much about supporting that mission as about the honey. Members got local, small batch honey with a clear story behind it and a direct link to the people tending the hives. Details such as share sizes, pickup arrangements and pricing are no longer available. If you want a honey subscription today, this one is not an option. If you liked the idea, look for beekeeping nonprofits or local apiaries near you that sell seasonal shares or sell honey directly. Check that they are taking orders before you pay.
