Closed. The website no longer loads. Razor subscription founded in São Paulo in 2014; I could not confirm whether it still operates.
What's in the box: When it operated, deliveries centered on replacement razor blades, with a razor handle sent to new subscribers.
Home Shave Club is not operating normally. Its website no longer loads, and there is no sign that it is taking new orders or processing subscriptions. The service started in São Paulo in 2014 as a razor subscription for customers in Brazil, using the direct-to-consumer razor model. The idea was simple: instead of buying cartridges at a pharmacy, subscribers got a razor handle and then regular deliveries of replacement blades by mail, on a schedule meant to match how often they shaved. Some plans may also have included shaving cream, but the exact lineup can no longer be checked. While it was running, the main appeal was convenience and skipping the high prices of brand-name cartridges in retail stores. With the site offline, there is now no way to see current plans, manage an account, or confirm that shipments still go out. We do not recommend trying to sign up or paying anyone who claims to represent the service. Former subscribers should check their card statements for unexpected charges and contact their bank if anything looks wrong. Shoppers in Brazil who want blade refills will do better with an active subscription or by buying cartridges from a retailer.
