Horror Block

Closed. The website no longer loads. Stopped running when its parent company Nerd Block shut down in 2017.

What's in the box: A typical box held a horror-themed t-shirt plus a few collectibles from horror films, such as a figure, pins, prints or novelty items.

Horror Block is no longer operating. It shut down in 2017 when its parent company, Nerd Block, closed, and its website no longer loads. When it was running, it was a monthly mystery box for horror fans, run out of Canada and shipped to subscribers in Canada and other countries. Each box usually mixed clothing with collectibles from horror films and franchises, such as a themed t-shirt, a figure, and smaller items like pins, prints or novelty pieces. Part of the appeal was the surprise. You did not pick the items, and the mix changed every month, so whether a box felt worth it depended a lot on how much you liked that month's theme. Nerd Block closed suddenly, and many customers reported paying for boxes that never arrived and struggling to get refunds. Keep that history in mind if the Horror Block name shows up again or you find old boxes for sale secondhand. You cannot subscribe today, so be cautious with any site or seller that claims to take new Horror Block subscriptions. If you want horror merchandise on a regular basis, look for a box that is still running, has a clear refund policy and ships on time. Collectors can sometimes find unopened past boxes on resale sites.
