What's in the box: Each box holds freshly roasted light roast specialty coffee from a Scandinavian micro roaster, along with a card covering the coffee's background and brewing tips.
KaffeBox is a Norwegian coffee subscription that sends freshly roasted, light roast specialty coffee from Scandinavian micro roasters to your mailbox each month. It is mainly a bean subscription. Brewing gear is sold separately through its online Brew Shop, which carries well known pour over and manual brewing equipment such as grinders from 1Zpresso and Weber Workshops, Aeropress brewers and filters, Hario servers and Orea drippers. KaffeBox says roasters roast to its order, so the coffee should be only a few days old when it arrives. That matters for light roasts, which taste best fresh. The plan is flexible. You choose the quantity and type of coffee, when to start, and when to pause or stop. Each month brings a different roaster and coffee, which suits people who like variety more than those who want the same bag every time. Each shipment comes with a card about the coffee and brewing tips. KaffeBox also says each bag funds clean water for a person in a developing country, and that its roasters buy directly from farmers and pay them well. Gift subscriptions are available. The site is mostly in Norwegian, with an English option. If you prefer dark roasts or want gear included in the box, look elsewhere.
