What's in the box: A monthly selection of kaffemik's freshly roasted specialty coffee, picked from its rotating range of single origins.
kaffemik is a specialty coffee roaster in Austria. It runs a café in Vienna's Neubau district and roasts in Wolfsgraben. Its subscription is sold as a coffee of the month box for €40, and there is also a gift box version for €45. The shop listing does not give bag sizes, delivery frequency or terms for pausing and cancelling, so check those details before you sign up. The current range is mostly single origins named after the producer or washing station. They come from Colombia, Ethiopia, Uganda, Guatemala, Honduras and Brazil, as washed and natural lots. Tasting notes range from dark chocolate and roasted nuts to stone fruit, berries and florals. There are also a few unusual lots, such as a Colombian coffee dried with lavender. The shop also sells a decaf and a cheaper blend made from test roasts, but the site does not say whether either one goes into the box. Shipping within Austria is free on orders over €35, so the subscription qualifies. kaffemik also runs barista, latte art and cupping workshops in Vienna, with two cupping sessions a month. If you live outside Austria, check delivery options first.
