What's in the box: Each delivery brings two or four bottles of Kirin beers you selected, plus consumables like gas cartridges and straws as needed.
Kirin Home Tap is a membership that puts a beer server designed for home use in your kitchen and sends bottles of Kirin beer to pour through it. You pick the 4L monthly course, which sends 2 bottles per delivery, or the 8L course, which sends 4. Deliveries come twice a month on dates you choose, and you can change them up to 6 days before each one. Shipping for those two deliveries is included in the monthly fee. So are consumables like straws and CO2 gas cartridges, which arrive automatically based on how much you use. You can choose your beers from a year-round range plus 3 to 4 limited editions at any time. Past options have included Ichiban Shibori Premium and Brooklyn Lager. Cleaning is simple: you run water through the tube, and most small parts are disposable. You can skip deliveries but not more than three in a row, and you can order extra beer. The one-month trial plan stopped taking new sign-ups in May 2024, and brochure requests are currently paused. Memberships start at fixed monthly cutoffs, and the service is aimed at households in Japan. The site is in Japanese only.
