Kitables

Closed. The website no longer loads. The monthly subscription launched on Kickstarter in 2017, and no recent information on whether it still runs was found.

What's in the box: When it ran, each monthly box centered on one electronics project for the subscriber to build at home.

Kitables does not appear to be operating: its website no longer loads, and there is no sign that the monthly subscription is still running. When it was active, Kitables was a US-focused monthly subscription of electronics and maker kits, launched through a Kickstarter campaign in 2017. The idea was simple: each month, subscribers would receive a hands-on project to build, aimed at people who wanted to learn electronics by doing rather than by reading. Kits of this type usually pair components with step by step instructions so a beginner can finish a working gadget and pick up skills along the way. However, we cannot recommend a subscription that can't be reached. With no working website, there is no clear way to manage an account, contact support, or confirm that orders would arrive. Past subscribers should check their payment records and, if needed, cancel any recurring charges through their bank or card provider. Shoppers who want monthly electronics projects should look at maker kit services that are currently active, with a working site, clear contact details and recent customer activity.
