What's in the box: When it operated, a box held recipe cards and the ingredients needed to cook a set number of meals at home.

KochAbo is not currently operating, and its website at kochabo.at no longer loads, so you cannot order a box. When it ran, KochAbo was an Austrian meal kit service based in Vienna. It delivered regular boxes of recipes along with the ingredients needed to cook them at home. The idea was simple. You picked from a rotating set of dishes, received the groceries in one delivery, and followed recipe cards to make dinner without planning menus or shopping. It was one of the earlier meal kit services in the Austrian market and was aimed at households that wanted home cooked meals with less effort. Because the service is closed, we cannot confirm its final menu options, plan sizes, delivery areas or prices. We would not suggest trying to sign up or pay for anything connected to the old domain. If you once had a KochAbo subscription, check your bank or card statements to make sure no further charges are being taken. Shoppers in Austria who want something similar should look at meal kit services that are active now and that clearly show their prices, delivery zones and cancellation terms before you subscribe.
