What's in the box: Ready-to-eat individual lunch boxes from partner caterers and restaurants, delivered to the office and paid for from a company-set meal budget.
Kulina is not a meal kit in the cook-at-home sense. It is a Jakarta-based corporate catering platform, run by PT Nera Teknologi Utama, that delivers ready-to-eat meals to offices. A company signs up and sets a meal budget for its employees. Staff can then order their own meals in the Kulina app, or the company can hand ordering to a Kulina account manager. Meals come from a range of partner caterers and restaurants covering Indonesian dishes, healthier options and Western food, and businesses can ask for a specific merchant to join the platform. Managers get a dashboard for tracking spending, setting budgets by working day and viewing balance reports, and invoicing is automatic. Kulina says it has delivered more than 5 million boxes and works with hundreds of companies. It also points to its biodegradable, compostable packaging and to delivery routes planned to cut emissions. The site does not list prices, minimum order sizes or delivery areas beyond its Jakarta head office, so expect to contact the sales team for details. If you want a weekly box of ingredients for home, look elsewhere. If you are an HR or office manager trying to make daily staff lunches easier, it looks like a practical and well organized choice.
