Lidl Schweiz Menu Box has shut down. Lidl Switzerland closed this meal-kit service on 8 March 2019, and you can no longer order it. While it ran, the Menu Box was Lidl's try at the Swiss recipe box market, and it was operated together with the German meal-kit company Kochzauber. It worked like most meal kits. Customers got a box with recipe cards and portioned ingredients for several home-cooked dinners, which cut down on weekly planning and grocery trips. Much of its appeal came from the Lidl name, which shoppers link with value. Today lidl.ch is about weekly supermarket offers, Lidl Plus deals, Click & Pick reservations, travel packages and a weekly recipe feature. The site no longer offers or promotes a meal-kit subscription, and it does not explain the closure. If you want a recipe box delivered in Switzerland, you will need a provider that still runs one. Lidl's weekly recipe ideas can still give you cooking inspiration, but you buy the ingredients yourself in a store. Treat this as a record of a service that has ended, not as something you can sign up for.
