Ownership. Founder James Cadbury sold Love Cocoa to the confectionery group Made Uncommon in November 2025.

What's in the box: You choose what goes in each order, such as luxury truffles, chocolate bars, vegan chocolate, selection boxes or hampers, rather than receiving a curated monthly box.

Love Cocoa is a British chocolate brand founded by James Cadbury, a descendant of John Cadbury. It was sold to the confectionery group Made Uncommon in November 2025. The range covers truffles, chocolate bars, vegan chocolate, selection boxes and hampers, with flavours such as salted caramel, Marc de Champagne and pink gin. If you want a recurring delivery, note that the site is mainly a gift shop. It does not clearly offer a subscription plan, so check before ordering if a regular box is what you want. Its letterbox friendly bar bundles are a practical way to send chocolate by post. The brand is B Corp certified. It says much of its cocoa is made at origin in Colombia, and it also buys from suppliers in Peru and Ecuador. It says it avoids palm oil and unnecessary plastic, which will matter to shoppers who care about sourcing and packaging. The chocolate is made from fino de aroma cacao, a fine flavour grade, and the range is aimed at gifting rather than everyday snacking. It is too early to say whether the new owners will change recipes or sourcing, though the site still carries the same ethical messaging. It is a good choice for a thoughtful one-off gift. For a true monthly box, look elsewhere or confirm the options first.
