What's in the box: Frozen meals designed to be cooked in Mealhero's own smart steam cooking appliance.

Mealhero is no longer operating. The Ghent startup filed for bankruptcy in August 2022, and its website no longer loads, so you can't order anything. While it was running, Mealhero sold a home steam cooking appliance along with a range of frozen meals made to be cooked in it. You kept the meals in your freezer, put one in the device, and let the machine do most of the cooking. That made it different from the usual Belgian meal kit, where chilled ingredients arrive at your door and you follow a recipe yourself. It was aimed at busy households that wanted something better than a standard supermarket ready meal without spending time in the kitchen. The weakness was that the whole system depended on one company's appliance and one company's food range. That risk became real when the business closed. People who bought the device can no longer get Mealhero meals for it, and any subscriptions or customer support ended with the bankruptcy. If you want a meal service in Belgium today, look for providers that are still trading and that don't require special hardware. Mealhero is listed here for reference only. It is not an option for new customers.
