Middagsfrid is no longer operating. Axfood, the Swedish grocery group that owned it, closed the service on 30 September 2024, and its website no longer loads. Axfood sent its customers to Linas Matkasse, another meal kit brand in the same group. While it ran, Middagsfrid was a Swedish meal kit subscription meant to take weekly dinner planning off a household's plate. Subscribers got regular deliveries of recipes along with the ingredients to cook them at home, so they did not have to plan menus or shop for most weeknight dinners. Like other Swedish matkasse services, it was aimed mainly at families and busy households who wanted to cook proper meals without the planning work. Because the service has shut down, there is nothing to order. Do not trust any old sign up pages, apps or links you may come across. If you liked the Middagsfrid idea, the closest replacement is Linas Matkasse, which Axfood named as the new home for former customers. Compare its current menus, delivery areas and terms yourself before you subscribe, because Middagsfrid's box options and terms do not carry over.
