MiniCrate

What's in the box: Each month brings miniatures from the Warmachine and Iron Kingdoms setting, ready for you to build and paint.

MiniCrate is a monthly miniatures subscription tied to Warmachine, the long-running tabletop wargame set in the Iron Kingdoms. Privateer Press started it, and it moved to Steamforged Games along with the rest of Warmachine. It still ships every month. The Steamforged store has a MiniCrate section in its Warmachine menu, next to the core book, merch, P3 Paints and the Warmachine 3D digital offerings. The site also says Warmachine and P3 Paints now have their own online home at warmachine.gg, so you may find yourself sent there to manage or browse the subscription. The appeal is plain: if you play Warmachine or just like painting its steampunk fantasy models, a crate a month keeps fresh sculpts coming without buying them one at a time. The downside is just as plain. This box is built around one game and one setting, so it gives little to hobbyists outside that world. The site does not clearly state pricing, shipping terms or what each month will hold, so check the current terms before you subscribe. Having moved between two companies and then onto a new storefront, it can feel a bit scattered to navigate. For committed Warmachine fans it is a sensible pick. For anyone else, a more general miniatures box is likely the better fit.
