Model Box

Closed. The website no longer loads. The website is still up, but the newest coverage found is from around 2020, and no closure notice turned up.

What's in the box: When it operated, boxes centred on a model kit or miniature to build and paint, though exact contents cannot now be confirmed.

Model Box is not currently operating: its website no longer loads, and there is little sign of activity since around 2020, although no formal closure announcement has surfaced. When it ran, it was a UK based subscription for people who enjoy building and painting scale models and miniatures. The idea was simple: a box would arrive with a kit or miniature to assemble, giving hobbyists a regular project without having to choose one themselves. That format suits people who like variety and the surprise of not knowing what comes next, and it can be a gentle way into the hobby for newcomers. Because the site cannot be reached, there is no way to confirm what plans were offered, what each box cost, how often boxes shipped, or how cancellations worked. If you still have a payment linked to Model Box, check your bank or card statements and cancel any recurring charge through your card provider if needed. We do not recommend trying to subscribe. If you want a regular supply of model kits or miniatures, look for a service that is actively trading, has a working website with clear terms, and shows recent customer activity. Local hobby shops and established model retailers are also a reliable way to pick kits yourself.
