MonkiBox

What's in the box: An age-matched set of Montessori-inspired play tools and books, plus a bilingual guide with activities and tips on how to play.

MonkiBox is a Dubai-based play subscription built around Montessori-inspired toys for babies and toddlers. The core Play Box program ships a set of play tools and books every two months, matched to your child's age and upcoming developmental milestones. You choose an age band, currently 0 to 12 months or toddler 1+, and a short quiz helps point you to the right starting point. Each box comes with a bilingual play guide explaining how to use the items, and subscribers also get weekly development tips and access to a community of parents and experts. The brand says its toys use sustainably harvested wood, 100% cotton and non-toxic paint. If you would rather not subscribe, MonkiBox also sells ready-made bundles delivered all at once and lets you build your own bundle, which works well for gifts. The site prices in AED and focuses on the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC, though it says it ships from Dubai to the world. Pricing, subscription terms and cancellation rules are not spelled out on the front page, so check those before committing. The age range is narrow, so families with older preschoolers will outgrow it quickly. For GCC parents of babies who want guided, well-made developmental toys without researching each purchase, it is a sensible option.
