My Adventure Box

What's in the box: A monthly themed set of supplies and goodies for daily learning-through-play activities, plus a theme song, milestone tracking, self-assessment tools and a Bible lesson.

My Adventure Box is a South African monthly subscription for children up to age 4, and its main subscription box is aimed at ages 1 to 4. Each month brings a themed box of hands-on activities built around developmental milestones. Every box is offered in both Afrikaans and English, which is a real plus for bilingual households. The service is quite structured, with activities for every day of the week, a theme song, simple milestone tracking and self-assessment tools so parents can follow progress. The company says everything you need is in the box, so you should not have to hunt for extra supplies. One thing to know up front is that the boxes include Bible lessons, so this is a faith-based product. Christian families may see that as a reason to choose it, while secular families may prefer something else. Pricing is clear. A single once-off box costs R860, month-to-month is R810 with cancel anytime, and prepaying brings it down to R690 a month for six months or R650 a month for twelve. Alongside the toddler boxes, the shop also sells baby boxes, Linky Boxes and digital books, though the site does not explain the Linky range in detail. Shipping costs and delivery areas are not spelled out on the main page.
