Paladin Vinyl

What's in the box: The site does not describe a subscription box, so you choose and buy individual records, CDs, cassettes and merch yourself.

Paladin Vinyl is a US online music retailer, not a classic subscription box. It sells new and reissued vinyl, CDs and cassettes, plus band tees, tour merch, books, comics and gift cards. The catalog covers a lot of ground. Metal and punk sit next to Blue Note jazz reissues, Brazilian samba, film soundtracks and video game scores. Collectors get dedicated sections for indie exclusives, limited editions, box sets and store exclusives, along with a busy pre-order page that currently includes a deluxe 4 LP reissue of Aphex Twin's Drukqs. The store advertises thousands of titles, flat rate shipping and free returns. Some items show how many copies are left, which helps if you are chasing a particular pressing. The site does not mention a recurring record club or monthly box. If you want someone else to pick records for you on a schedule, you will need to look elsewhere or ask the store directly. Paladin Vinyl works best when you already know what you want and when you want it. Its editorial section, Between the Grooves, offers lists such as essential debut albums if you need ideas. Think of it as a well stocked record shop with collector appeal, not a surprise delivery service.
