Parrotbox

What's in the box: The site does not detail box contents, but given the shop's range, expect a mix of bird toys, foraging items and cage accessories.

Parrotbox is an Australian bird supply shop selling cage accessories, toys, perches and parrot food. It also offers its own Parrotbox, a gift box and subscription service that the company says was the first of its kind in Australia. We can't verify that claim, but the service is clearly a niche one. The shop's real strength is foraging enrichment. The range includes foraging balls, wheels, drawer toys, shredding toys, treat holders and refill packs, including Hol-ee Roller and Creative Foraging products. Individual toys run from about $4 for small refills up to $62 for a giant foraging wheel. That lets you try the shop's style before you commit to a subscription. The main weakness is how little the site says about the box itself. It does not state box pricing, delivery frequency or what each box contains, so check the Parrotboxes page or email the team before you sign up. Orders over $99 ship free, which helps if you add a few toys to a box order. Some items were sold out, which is normal for a smaller retailer. Customer contact runs through a Gmail address. That works, but it is less polished than a dedicated support system. Overall, Parrotbox is a sensible pick for Australian bird owners who want enrichment toys, with the box as an appealing extra.
