Pikatoy has shut down and is not taking orders. Its website at pikatoy.com now shows a server error instead of a shop. When it was running, it was one of the early Spanish online toy rental subscriptions, active from roughly 2011 to 2015. The idea was simple. Instead of buying toys that children quickly outgrow, families paid a subscription to borrow toys, including construction and building sets, and then swapped them for different ones over time. The model was aimed at parents who wanted variety for their children without filling the house with toys they would soon stop using. It was also an early Spanish example of choosing to rent toys rather than buy them. Details such as plans, pricing, delivery areas and cleaning procedures are no longer available, so we cannot describe them reliably. Since the service is not operating, there is nothing to sign up for. Treat any payment page or offer that claims to be Pikatoy with caution. If you like the idea of renting toys, look for a toy library or a toy rental subscription that currently operates in your area. Before you commit, check its hygiene policy, its rules on damaged or missing pieces, and its cancellation terms. Pikatoy is still a useful example of how toy rental got started in Spain.
