What's in the box: One indoor houseplant each month, sent either in a decorative pot or in a basic grow pot, depending on the plan.
Plant Baby is a New Zealand service that sends an indoor plant each month. Boxes go out on a set date rather than whenever you sign up. The site says September boxes have already shipped and the next round goes out on 19 October, so expect deliveries to arrive in monthly batches. There are two main monthly plans. One is a plant in a decorative pot for $69 and the other is a plant in a plain grow pot for $54, which suits people who already own containers. A pre-purchased plan with a decorative pot starts from $207, which works well if you want to give someone a set number of months as a gift. The shop also leans heavily into gifting. It sells plant, pot and chocolate packs, a native tree box you can buy once or as a subscription, and single plants such as Philodendron Birkin. The site has plant care instructions, FAQs and a blog with practical posts on watering and specific houseplants. That helps if you are new to keeping plants alive. The site does not say up front which plants you can expect each month or how much choice you get. The subscription products also have very few reviews, so there is little outside feedback to go on.
