Postcards in Watercolorland (Kristy Rice)

What's in the box: Each mailing contains watercolor postcards and art-themed snail mail from Kristy Rice, but the site does not say how many items are included or exactly what they are.

Postcards in Watercolorland is a snail mail subscription from Kristy Rice, a watercolor artist and the author of 11 books. She teaches beginners to paint under her #artforjoysake motto and treats painting as a mindfulness practice. You can pay monthly or yearly, and the subscription is sold alongside her brushes, empty palettes, art prints and books. The idea is easy to understand: art that arrives in your mailbox. If you already follow Kristy on YouTube, Instagram or Patreon, it is a natural way to get her work in physical form. The site gives few details about what each mailing holds. It does not say how many postcards come each month, whether they are original paintings or printed reproductions, or whether any lessons or prompts are included. It also does not explain when mail goes out or how to cancel. Buyers who want specifics should ask through the site's contact page first. The service is new, so there is not much track record yet. Kristy has a long history of teaching and selling her art products, though, which suggests a real person stands behind it. Expect a small, personal mail art treat, not a full painting kit.
