PostCurious (The Tale of Ord) is closed. The postcurious.com website no longer loads, and you cannot buy this subscription. The Tale of Ord launched in 2018 as a four month puzzle experience sent by mail, with one package arriving each month. Only 500 copies were made, and it is now out of print. Each delivery continued a story set in a fantasy world. The story was told through letters and physical objects that held puzzles. Players solved each month's challenges at home to move the story forward. The puzzles often relied on handling physical items rather than reading printed pages alone. Because the story played out over four installments, it suited people who were happy to wait between chapters and keep track of clues over time. PostCurious later remade the experience as Threads of Fate, a version of the same story funded on Kickstarter. If you are curious about the original, new subscriptions are not possible, and the website cannot be checked for current details. Secondhand copies may turn up now and then, but they may not be complete, and a missing piece could make a puzzle impossible to solve. We have not given this service a rating because it is no longer operating.
