What's in the box: Three 100ml pouches of different sakes, mostly from Niigata breweries, with each one named on a page reached through a QR code on the back.

SAKEPOST is a monthly sake subscription from Niigata that fits through your mailbox. Each month you get three 100ml servings, mostly from Niigata breweries, sealed in original pouches inside a small box, so nobody needs to be home to receive it. The bottles are not labeled up front. A QR code on the back leads to a page with the sake's name, basic details and brewery, so each delivery works as a small blind tasting. There are three plans. The Everyday plan costs 1,430 yen a month plus 330 yen shipping and covers easy-drinking local sake. The Ginjo plan costs 2,310 yen plus 330 yen shipping and sends ginjo grades such as junmai ginjo or daiginjo. The Double plan costs 3,630 yen for six pouches of both types, with free shipping and half off the first month. A gift option is available, and the minimum commitment is three months. Members can also log what they drank, answer short questions that add to a shared flavor chart, and send messages straight to the brewers. The 100ml size makes it easy to try a lot of sake without opening full bottles, but once shipping is added it is not much sake for the money. The site is in Japanese and serves buyers in Japan.
