Moved. The old site now redirects to musekits.com. Most reviews found date from 2015–2018; the owner filed a 'Muse Kits' trademark in September 2022, but no recent shipping news was found.
What's in the box: Each box was built around one art project, with supplies for a specific medium or technique such as acrylics, watercolors, cyanotype or polymer clay.
Smart Art Box does not appear to be operating as a normal monthly subscription: smartartbox.com now redirects to musekits.com, and that site lists previous projects rather than an active subscription. Smart Art Box was a US art supply subscription, and most published reviews of it date from 2015 to 2018. The owner later moved to the Muse Kits name and filed a trademark for it in September 2022. The current site describes boxes that covered a range of mediums and techniques, from acrylics to watercolors, for artists of all levels. Past projects listed there include scratchboard (September 2022), tie dye (April 2023), card making (December 2023), cyanotype (August 2024), fluid art (September 2024), water soluble oil painting (November 2024) and polymer clay (December 2024). The most recent listed project is from December 2024, the copyright notice reads 2024, and we found no recent news of new boxes shipping. Some earlier kits and bundles still appear on the site as single purchases, and there is a newsletter signup. The company lists a Los Angeles address. Anyone interested should think of the remaining kits as one off craft purchases, not a subscription, and should check stock and customer support before ordering.
