What's in the box: Eight single-serving natural snacks, such as dried fruit, vegetable crisps, nuts, baked goods and Japanese sweets, picked to match your quiz answers and ratings.
snaq.me is a Japanese snack subscription that mails a box of eight small snacks to your letterbox every two or four weeks. Each snack is about 20 to 30 grams. Before you order, you take a short snack quiz about your tastes and any ingredients you want to avoid. Your box is then picked from a rotating range of more than 100 items. The company says every snack is made without artificial sweeteners, synthetic flavorings, synthetic preservatives or bleaching agents. The range sticks to simple, natural treats. Examples include dried strawberries and pineapple, vegetable crisps, nut mixes, cookies, pound cakes, financiers, and Japanese sweets like dorayaki and okaki. After each delivery you can rate what you ate and ask for favorites, which is meant to bring future boxes closer to your taste. The site says you get discount points if a snack you can't eat arrives, and you can skip a delivery from your account page. A box costs 1,880 yen plus 330 yen shipping, tax included. From the second box on, payment is taken ahead of time on the Monday of the week before shipping, so cancel or skip early. You can cancel any time after the first delivery. The site and ordering process are in Japanese, and the service is aimed at customers in Japan.
