Sostter Essential Box

What's in the box: One wrapped, full-size candle in a seasonal scent, either a new release or an existing favourite from the range.

Sostter is an online marketplace that sells goods from independent makers and small design-led brands, and candles and home fragrance make up a large part of its range. The Essential Box is its monthly candle club. Each month you get one wrapped, full-size candle in a seasonal scent. It might be a new release or a favourite from the existing collection. The idea is that you try scents you probably would not have picked for yourself. If you like being surprised, that is the appeal. If you have strong scent preferences, it is the main drawback, since the listing does not mention any way to choose or rule out fragrances. You can skip a month, pause or cancel, which keeps the commitment low. The candles across Sostter's catalogue are described as hand-poured from natural waxes such as soy or soy and coconut blends, with cotton wicks. The subscription listing itself says little about which maker produces the monthly candle or what the vessel size and burn time are. That makes it hard to judge value before you sign up. One candle a month is a simple, focused format. It suits people who burn candles regularly and want a steady supply, but anyone hoping for extras like matches, wax melts or samples should look elsewhere.
