Southern Beard Co. is a small US maker of organic beard care, and the Southern Beard Club is its monthly subscription. The idea is simple: you get a new scent of its organic beard products every month. The club now comes in two versions, the Original line and the Premium line. The wider catalog includes beard oils, whipped beard butters and balms, a premium poured butter, a beard wash the company calls award-winning, mustache wax and grooming gear. Every product is handmade to order, and the company says it uses no chemicals or preservatives, so what arrives should be fresh. Note that the Premium oils use an emu oil blend, which matters if you want plant-only ingredients. The company says every delivery is carbon neutral through Shopify Planet. Seasonal scents rotate in regularly. A recent example is The Woodsman, a cologne-style blend of amber, cedar, teakwood and sandalwood. The site does not spell out on its front page exactly which items come in each monthly box or what the club costs, so check the subscription page before signing up. If you like trying new scents and want simple, small-batch products, this is a sensible choice. If you only ever use one scent, buying single products may suit you better.
