What's in the box: Each geography pack contains a personalised letter from Geo and Atlas, real photos, fact cards, stickers and a small souvenir from the featured country.

Geo Journey is a UK subscription for children aged 4 to 10 with two themed routes. One travels the world country by country. The other, Space Journey, explores space. Both begin with an explorer kit, followed by monthly packs through the post. The geography packs follow Geo the owl and Atlas the puppy. Each pack has a letter from them, personalised with your child's name, describing the country they are visiting. With the letter come real photos, fact cards, stickers and a small souvenir, such as a boomerang from Australia or mini wooden clogs from Holland. The company says the content complements the National Curriculum for Geography at Key Stages 1 and 2, which makes it a sensible extra for home learning. Pricing is clear. The pay monthly plan costs £35 for the first payment, then £12 a month, with no commitment. A 6 month plan costs £95. A 12 month plan costs £165 for Geo Journey or £130 for Space Journey and ends with a completion certificate. The site describes the geography packs in much more detail than the space packs, so families keen on space have less to go on before buying. The format is mostly paper with a small keepsake rather than a large hands-on kit. That suits younger children well, but those at the top of the age range may find it light.
