What's in the box: Each seasonal box holds a selection of artisanal loose-leaf teas, often rare or limited-edition, chosen for their origin and flavor.
Teatips is a small Italian tea project that Elisa founded in 2019. It sells only artisanal loose-leaf tea, and the site says outright that it's the wrong place for tea bags or industrial blends. Its subscription, the Tea Club, works by season: each one brings a new selection of teas delivered to your home, and the autumn edition is on sale now. The shop focuses on rare teas in small, limited batches, with an emphasis on small producers and the stories behind their tea. That suits drinkers who want a few well-chosen teas rather than a huge catalog. Teatips is as much about teaching as selling. Elisa runs guided tastings, courses and events, mostly in person in Italy, and writes tea guides, a blog and a newsletter that push back on common myths, such as the idea that green tea has to taste bitter. The site does not say how much the club costs, how often boxes ship within a season, or whether it ships outside Italy, so check before you sign up. This is a personal, education-led service, not a big operation, and that is both its appeal and its limit.
